Babies, bumps & bright Christmas lights.
I think I've just about recovered from my busy weekend! A weekend absolutely jam packed with shoots which means for the next week or two I'll be locked away each evening after work editing the images from said shoots.
The shoots last weekend all took place in my new little studio - which I was so excited/nervous about! I was so ready to start shooting in there, but I had a constant voice in my head worrying about the lighting and whether it would be warm enough (despite being insulated and having heaters).. I needn’t had worried though, the windows let in plenty of lovely natural light & once people were in it kept toasty and warm!
On Saturday I had three shoots; two family ones and a Christmas one. I was excited to do my first Christmas shoot, which I did with the absolute darling Roman. I never know whether kids who know you (I’m best friends with this little fellas Mum) are better or worse behaved for you.. but if Roman was anything to go by then they’re an absolute dream to shoot. Shy & a little nervous, as this was the first time he’d had “professional” photographs taken, he soon belted out his cheeky smile for the camera.
On Sunday, more Christmas shoots & the first part of my very first ‘Bump To Baby’ shoot!
Little George was my first shoot of the day, dressed as the most adorable little Elf. Having just woken up from his nap, he wasn’t best please to be placed in front of a weird lady & her camera, but he soon warmed up to the idea! Not quite sure whether he’s decided how he feels about Christmas lights, however..
After George was the gorgeous, tiny Clara. She was only two weeks old! So diddy. Like George, she wasn’t sure how to react to a strange lady snapping away at her but once we got the dummy out and she had a feed she was a natural.
Next up was Emily, her husband and her lovely little boy who were all in some photos for Emily’s ‘Bump To Baby’ shoot. Being my first shoot of this kind, I did a lot of research on Pinterest!
Emily warned me they “weren’t very photogenic” but I think we got some lovely shots! Cannot wait to shoot the second half either, once the little baby has made its entrance.
My last shoot of Sunday was little Alfie, who’s the son of two of my very good friends! We managed to get some really cute family shots, as well as some of Alf on his own.
All in all, a successful two days of shooting. Roll on next weekend!
